I thrifted this lovely mustard yellow turtleneck years ago, and cut it into a cropped top. I didn’t realize then just how much of a staple it would become, but i’ve worn it time and time again, including here, here and here! that’s one of my favorite things about clothing – you never know just HOW sentimental a top or a bag may become, or how much it may mean to you when you buy it, but it’s always very specific pieces that you cannot live without.

collecting special items like this top feels the same as collecting little memories for me. such delicate little seconds, or glances can consume you for days or years – just like a t-shirt can stick around and be handed down to your kids. i’m excited for the future memories in this top (and here’s to hoping it is never lost in the wash 🙂 )
